Unpaid / Volunteer Position | Approx. 2–6 hours per month | Remote with occasional travel (optional)

Overview:
FCM invites organized, enthusiastic, and collaborative members to join our Events Committee. This committee helps to imagine, plan, and support events that connect, inspire, and empower our members—including national gatherings, regional meetups, virtual workshops, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with committee members to plan and coordinate FCM events—both virtual and in-person—including logistics, programming, and communications

  • Assist with identifying and contacting potential speakers, facilitators, and collaborators

  • Support outreach and registration efforts for upcoming events

  • Offer hospitality, presence, and tech support during events when possible

  • Evaluate past events and contribute to improving future programming

  • Help ensure events reflect the diversity, inclusivity, and values of FCM’s mission

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in community-building and inclusive ministry

  • Organizational skills and comfort with task management (experience with Zoom, Google Workspace, or event planning software is a plus)

  • Creativity and openness to shaping new forms of gathering and engagement

  • Ability to work collaboratively and reliably with a small team

  • Willingness to contribute to the visioning and evolution of FCM’s event offerings

Time Commitment:
Approximately 2–6 hours per month, depending on event cycle. Includes regular committee meetings (usually monthly), planning sessions, and volunteer support before or during events.
