Fellowship
& Connection
Ministry can be lonely. FCM changes that. Through local, regional, and national events, you’ll build meaningful relationships with colleagues who understand the unique joys and challenges of expansive ministry.
Commissioning
(Ordination)
FCM’s Commissioning process offers a flexible, affirming, and rigorous path to formal recognition of your ministerial Call. Once commissioned, you’re authorized to officiate baptisms, weddings, funerals, holy unions, and other sacred rites.
Weekly
Prayer Gatherings
Members are invited to join FCM’s weekly Prayer Gatherings, a space for shared prayer, meditation, reflection, and connection with the broader FCM community, offered both in-person and virtually.
Diaspora:
the FCM Magazine
Stay connected with the wider FCM community through Diaspora, our quarterly magazine. Each issue is filled with theological reflections, member stories, ministry resources, and updates on FCM. Members are also invited to submit their own work for publication, sharing their voice with a nationwide network of fellow ministers.
Ministerial
Colleague Relationships
FCM believes that ministers grow best in relationship with one another. As a member, you’ll have the opportunity to enter into a ministerial colleague relationship: offering mutual support, accountability, and encouragement along the way.
Faith
Community Network
FCM is home to a growing network of Faith Communities across the country. Whether you’re looking for a place to worship, serve, or simply belong, our Faith Community locator can help you find a home near you.
Gather. Worship. Grow.
Each year, FCM members come together for the National Assembly which is our flagship gathering for worship, fellowship, professional development, and community.
Alternating between in-person and virtual formats, the National Assembly is a highlight of the FCM year and a powerful reminder that you are not alone in your Call.
Your Call Deserves Recognition
Commissioning through FCM is a meaningful, inclusive, and affirming process that honors your unique Call to ministry.
It is not a one-size-fits-all path and FCM’s process is designed to meet you where you are, supporting you through each step with the guidance of your Regional Vice President and a ministerial colleague.
Start Your Journey
You’ve felt the Call. FCM is ready to walk alongside you.
Membership is open to all, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, theological background, or faith tradition.
If you are ready to pursue your Call in community with others who are doing the same, we would love to welcome you.
